Attached you will find the Geometry Ice Pack assignment. It will be due 5 days after we get back to school. They are all practice questions from material we covered first semester. Make sure you show all work needed to solve each problem to receive full credit.
Today we practiced more problems with circle segments while reviewing how to solve problems that result in quadratics.
For homework tonight, complete the cut and paste pyramid activity. You will have a quiz over circle segments when we return to school. (If you need another copy of the cut and paste pyramid activity, email me at [email protected]) Today we completed a graphic organizer about three different circle scenarios. We covered secant tangent lengths, secant secant lengths, and intersecting chord lengths.
At the beginning of class you took the first quiz for Unit 4B.
Afterwards, we discussed the differences between arc length and arc measure. Even though both terms sound similar, they mean different things. Today we did some challenge problems with sector area and arc length. We used knowledge of central and inscribed angles from last unit to solve these problems. Tomorrow you will have a quiz over Area, Circumference, Sector Area, and Arc Length. Home is posted below and it is due tomorrow.
Today we learned about Sector Area and Arc Length in relation to circles.
Remember there are formulas for both of these on the Formula Sheet. You just need to know which formula to use and what values to use for the given variables. Have a great weekend! Welcome Back! Today we started with Unit 4B (Circles and Volume). We went over area and circumference problems and looking at sections of area and sections of circumference. Homework is posted below and it is due tomorrow.
