Attached you will find the AMDM Ice Pack assignment. It will be due 5 days after we get back to school. Make sure you show all work needed to solve each problem to receive full credit.
Today we split the class. For students who were absent from school on Friday, they went to Hardy's room to take the Sequences Quiz. The other half of the class did a scavenger hunt activity out in the hallway to review sequences. There were a couple word problems included to get you used to sequences in word problems.
Today several groups had to finish the sequences card sorting activity from yesterday.
Afterwards, you had the rest of class to work on the sequences quiz review. This will be turned in tomorrow along with the recursive/explicit notes and the creating explicit models notes for the notebook check. Quiz tomorrow: arithmetic, geometric, next terms in sequence, recursive, explicit, and finding specific terms. Today in class you completed a sorting activity with 5 difference sequences. For each problem you had to find the next three terms, identify the type of sequence, write the recursive and explicit definitions, and find the 12th term. This activity was for a grade.
Today in class we practiced writing recursive definitions for sequences. We then learned how to write explicit definitions given a sequence of terms or given the recursive definition.
Today we added the terms Arithmetic and Geometric to our notes from yesterday. You then had the entire class just to practice what we went over yesterday. This assignment was for a grade, but you were allowed to use your notes. It is attached below. Have a great weekend!
Welcome Back! Today we hit the ground running. Only one more semester to go! We started Unit 4 by looking at patterns in figures and numbers. With these patterns we predicted next terms and started writing functions to describe these patterns. We talked about the difference between Recursive and Explicit Functions. Below is the worksheet we worked on in class. Anything you did not finish, you will need to complete for homework.
Midterm Exams are in full swing.
You will take your exam on Tuesday from 8 - 9:30. Extra Credit Packet will be due at the beginning of that exam period. |
Ms. HarrisonHere you will find all that you need to be successful in AMDM. We are going to have a great year! Archives
