Today we jumped into the exciting world of proofs! We first filled in our Geometry Toolbox. Be sure to keep that in a safe place. We then filled in some of the basic proof notes. I have uploaded a picture below of the notes for you to check after you practice the ones we did not get to in class.
Today at the beginning of class you turned in homework and yesterday's activity.
You then took a short quiz over Parallel Lines and a Transversal. After the quiz you worked on the parallel lines maze activity in groups. Remember to either come to study hall or come to class early tomorrow morning if you did not finish the activity. Today we looked more in-depth at the angles created from parallel lines cut by a transversal. We did some simple problems at first and then looked at more complex ones after. The homework is posted below.
We took the Unit 2A test today. Before the test you turned in Review #2.
After the test we looked at the angles created from parallel lines cut by a transversal. We spent the entire class period today going over review questions you had on Review #1. You were also given Review #2. You are going to turn this one in tomorrow before the test.
At the beginning of class we went over any quadrilateral questions you had. We then took a quadrilaterals quiz. After the quiz you picked up the Unit 2A Review. It should be completed by the beginning of class on Monday.
Today in class we did a played Quadrilaterals Bingo in order to prepare for our quiz tomorrow. You were also given a review worksheet at the end of class. It is posted below.
Today in class we took notes over the medians (or midsegments) of trapezoids. Tomorrow we will be reviewing and on Friday you will take a quiz over quadrilaterals.
After the parallelograms quiz, we took notes over trapezoids and kites. The notes are attached below.
At the beginning of class you turned in the parallelograms homework. We then did a parallelograms review game called Knockout. I have posted this below. Tonight for homework, you are working on the Parallelograms Maze.
