At the beginning of class we took a circle vocabulary quiz. Afterwards we started on Central Angles. Remember the arc and the angle are equal if it is a central angle. Homework is posted below. It is not due until Thursday.
Today we started Unit 4A and took notes on circle vocabulary.
You will have a vocabulary quiz tomorrow. At the beginning of class we went over a few of the Right Triangle Application problems from Tuesday. We then did an activity in the hallway where you had the opportunity to practice the problems you thought were the hardest. Finally, you were given the Unit 3 Test Review. Come with questions tomorrow before the test.
Today we did application-based problems using right triangle trigonometry. Tomorrow is the PSAT so our class will not meet. You must have attempted the problems on the attached worksheet before class on Thursday. BIG 10 IS DUE THURSDAY!
Today we took notes on solving for angles. We then put all of our right triangle knowledge to use and solved real-world application based problems using sine, cosine, and tangent. Homework is posted below and is due tomorrow.
Today we reviewed setting up trig ratios and then we learned how to solve for missing sides. Remember if you have two sides of a right triangle, you can use Pythagorean Theorem so solve for the third. If you only have information about one side of the right triangle and the angles, then you use right triangle trig to solve for a missing side. Homework is posted below.
