After the vocabulary quiz we learned about Central Angles. Remember that the arc and the angle are equal with central angles. Homework is due tomorrow and is posted below.
We started Unit 4A off today by taking notes on circle vocabulary.
You will have a quiz tomorrow on identifying these terms. Today we practiced several right triangle application problems. You were then given the majority of class to work on the Unit 3 Test Review and ask questions.
The Unit 3 Test will be tomorrow. If you were all caught up with homework and missing quizzes/tests, you were allowed to work out in the hallway on a gallery walk of right triangle trig problems. At the end of class, you were given the Unit 3 Test Review. It is posted below. Be sure to start working on it tonight for homework.
Today we put all of our right triangle trig knowledge to use with word problems. The homework is posted below.
At the beginning of class you took a quiz over trig ratios and solving for missing sides. The second half of class we learned how to solve for missing angles. Tomorrow we are going to put everything together and solve word problems. Homework is posted below and is due tomorrow. If you do not have a calculator that will do the inverse trig functions, come in before school or during study hall.
Today we practiced solving for missing sides. Remember the following steps: 1. Mark the angle and label the sides given. 2. Decide based on the given sides if you should use sine, cosine, or tangent. 3. Set up the ratio, put the trig function over one, and then cross multiple. Homework is posted below.
Today in class we reviewed Pythagorean Theorem. We then learned about the three trig functions (sine, cosine, and tangent). Remember SOH CAH TOA when setting up the ratios. Homework is due tomorrow.
Today in class you took the Unit 2B Test.
After you were finished with the test, we reviewed some Pythagorean Theorem problems. Have a great fall break! |
Ms. HarrisonHere you will find all that you need to be successful in Geometry. We are going to have a great year! Archives
